Hunter and Jiyu live in the same luxury apartment building on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, but they couldn’t be more different.

Jiyu is a "shy girl" who likes to sit still, read books and keep to herself. Hunter is a "popular kid", a rising tennis star who can’t sit still for even a second. They're complete opposites from the very start.

It's a meeting between a boy and girl who lived in different worlds.

Their mothers are the ones who push them together, but before long, Jiyu becomes someone Hunter can’t imagine living without.

“There’s something I need to find out. Whether you’re really my winning jinx or not.”

Every time Jiyu shows up to cheer him on, Hunter wins. Little by little, he becomes convinced that she’s his personal “jinx.”

Eventually, Jiyu grows tired of being dragged to every one of his matches and comes up with a little trick to use instead. She writes Hunter’s name on her palm and presses her lips to it just once. The very next day, he comes back holding the championship trophy.

Tied together by this so-called jinx, the two grow closer and closer. But once Jiyu becomes an adult, a devastating tragedy turns everything upside down.

“Jiyu Parker, you just sold yourself for one hundred thousand dollars.”

Jiyu uses Hunter to survive.

And Hunter uses Jiyu because he believes she’s his jinx.

In tennis, “love” means zero.

Caught between warm childhood memories, the innocent flutter of first love at the edge of adulthood, and the love-hate born from misunderstandings and missed timing, the two become locked in a dangerous game.

In the end, who will be the winner?
